Heather's Page of Unusual Baby Names: Useful for finding character names if you fancy something off the wall, the only downsides are the pop-ups and lack of name meanings
BabyCenter: Useful for finding less unusual character names, sorted by origin and meaning, search machine included
Dictionary: Largest word resourse on the web (I think)
Thesaurus: Run by the same people
Quotes: Lots of quotes on different subjects from love to politics, quoted from celebrities to popular culture
